Ooey, gooey, and oh, so yummy!

Carmelitas baked


  • 32 caramels
  • 05 Tbsp. heavy cream
  • 01 C flour
  • 01 C quick oatmeal
  • 3/4 C packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 3/4 C butter, melted
  • 08 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 C pecans, chopped


Melt caramels and cream in a double boiler.

Caramelitas - Caramels

Combine flour, oatmeal, sugar, soda, salt and butter.

Caramelitas - Mixture

Press half of the mixture into an 09 X 13 inch pan.
Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes.
Spread caramel mixture over crust, then chips and pecans.
Sprinkle with the rest of the crumb mix.

Caramelitas - Assembled

Bake another 15 – 20 minutes.
Let cool for one hour.
Cut into bars.
