Spicy Maple Peanuts and Bacon

Adapted from Food and Wine Magazine.

Ingredients

  • 01 Tbsp. dried thyme
  • 01 Tbsp. kosher salt
  • 3/4 tsp. Old Bay seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. dry mustard
  • 03 C unsalted roasted peanuts
  • 1/2 C pure maple syrup
  • 03 slices of bacon, fried crispy and crumbled

Directions

In a medium bowl, mix the thyme, salt, Old Bay, cayenne and dry mustard.

Add the peanuts, bacon and maple syrup and toss to combine.

Transfer the mixture to a 09 x 13 inch pan.
Bake at 325 degrees for 15 minutes.
Stir and continue to bake for another 15 minutes.

Let cool, stirring occasionally to break up any clumps.

Transfer the peanuts to a bowl and serve.

    • Thanks. They’re really good. A little spicy at first, but after a day, the sweetness seemed to mellow them out a little. So addictive too! 🙂
